On Aug. 19, 2025, Motility Software Solutions, a provider of dealer management software for specialty vehicle dealerships, identified suspicious activity on its network. The company quickly took the impacted server offline to contain the incident and began an investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts.
According to Motility, the breach resulted in unauthorized access to the personally identifiable information (PII) of approximately 760,000 consumers in the United States.
The exposed information includes names, birthdates, driver’s license numbers and Social Security numbers.
The company has stated that the breach was limited to Motility’s network and did not impact the systems or network of its parent company, Reynolds and Reynolds.
