Bronx Pro Group Ransomware Attack Exposes Tenant Info

Sometimes, our first real awareness of a breach is a press release from a law firm or class action website seeking plaintiffs for potential litigation. ClaimDepot reports:

Bronx Pro Group, a real estate development and property management company experienced a data breach. This incident was the result of a ransomware attack carried out by the Akira ransomware group, which claimed responsibility for the breach on the dark web on May 22, 2025.

The Akira group published the stolen data on the Tor network, further increasing the risk of identity theft and financial fraud for those affected. The data breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office on June 27, 2025 and exposed personally identifiable information (PII).

Compromised information may include tenant Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account details and other personal information.
