Rhysida has now added Singing River Health System in Mississippi to their dark web leak site. The health system, which includes Pascagoula Hospital, Ocean Springs Hospital, and Gulfport Hospital as well as 10 clinics discovered the ransomware attack on August 19. In its most recent update of August 31, it stated:

“We understand the concerns of our patients and the community, and we want to assure everyone that we are dedicated to addressing this incident with the highest level of attention and expertise,” said Laurin St. Pe, Interim CEO. “Our electronic medical records system, Epic, has been brought back online internally, enabling us to continue delivering the level of care that our patients deserve.”

Rhysida added the health system to its site on September 10. There are 3 days left on the countdown-to-auction clock and Rhysida is asking 30 BTC for a single sale (approximately $761,000 USD).

Singing River Health System is not the only health system Rhysida has hit recently. They are also responsible for an attack earlier in August on Prospect Medical Holdings that has impacted the function of its hospitals and centers. As of today, Prospect Medical Holdings’ website has a banner that says, “Prospect Medical Holdings, along with all Prospect Medical facilities, is experiencing a systemwide outage. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and regret any inconvenience.”
