The Regional Justice Information System (REJIS) is used by court systems to support docket functions and certain scheduling functions such as the release of prisoners. REJIS is a government commission that provides services to criminal justice departments across Missouri as well as in Illinois and Kansas.

On Monday, Louis County (Missouri), Kansas City (Missouri), Kansas City (Kansas), and Overland Park Municipal Courts (Kansas) all reported suspending some court services after learning of an as-yet-undescribed security incident.

The attack reportedly did not impact 911 emergency services in St. Louis County, but did have personnel rushing back to paper-and-pencil methods of booking and releasing prisoners.

No notice about any incident or alerts to clients currently appears on REJIS’s website.
