In March 2026, a hacktivist acquired 8.3 million tips to platforms and mobile apps by Navigate360‘s subsidiary, P3 Global Intel. The tips, which were supposed to protect tipsters’ anonymity, were submitted by students using programs such as Safe2SayPA, Safe2Tell, and Sandy Hook Progress. Other tips were provided via local Crime Stoppers organizations throughout the country and police tip lines, while yet others were used by military personnel to provide tips on unclassified matters. According to the hacktivist, none of the tips had been encrypted at rest despite the software maker’s assurances.
DataBreaches.net reported on the dataset in several posts, organized by tipster type or app type. Each post highlighted that Navigate360 has not disclosed any details publicly, and individuals whose personal information was included in the stolen data have not been notified.
In their latest post, they analyzed tips provided to the Armed Forces branches and report that they found:
- 2,115 tips provided to the U.S. Coast Guard
- 38.349 tips submitted to the Navy NCIS and U.S. Marine Corps
- 26,897 tips submitted to the U.S. Army CID; and
- 26,289 tips submitted to the U.S. Air Force and Space Force.
None of the branches of the military responded to the news site’s inquiries.
